Gerhard Andersson is full professor in clinical psychology at Linköping University and affilated professor at Karolinska Institute. He is also active as clinician at the hearing clinic, Linköping University Hospital. In addition to tinnitus and hearing loss he leads a research group with a focus on internet treatments for a range of somatic and psychiatric problems. Swedish researchers have a leading position when it comes to the development and implementation of internet-delivered treatments for a range of health conditions. It this talk an overview of the research on tinnitus and hearing loss will be presented including a meta-analytic summary of internet treatment for tinnitus. Treatments are often based on cognitive behaviour therapy, but other forms have also been tested. Another application deals with online screening of hearing loss.
